Vauxhall, a subsidiary of General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM), is equipping its seven-seat Zafira Tourer with a new 1.6-litre CDTI engine.
The vehicle is to be launched in early summer, before the engine is rolled out across the entire range with power outputs ranging from 94bhp to 158bhp.
The engine features an all-aluminium block, stop-start and clever technologies such as a two-stage oil-pump and high-pressure fuel injectors. It returns fuel economy of 68.9mpg, emissions of 109g/km and it accelerates from zero to 62mph in 11.2 seconds.
