Volkswagen AG (Xetra: VW), a Germany-based automaker, is equipping its up! city car with a two-cylinder diesel engine for 2013.
The engine will be a 1.6-litre TDI four-cylinder that has been cut in half, giving it a displacement of roughly 800 cubic centimetres.
The vehicle is to be launched at the 2012 Frankfurt Motor Show, scheduled for September 2013.
