Volvo Car Corporation, a Sweden-based automaker, has reportedly received approval to produce vehicles in China.

Bloomberg has reported that the company has received approval from The National Development and Reform Commission to produce its vehicles in China, but the company has yet to receive approval from the State Council.

The ability to produce vehicles in China is a major part of the automaker’s goal to sell 800,000 vehicles per annum by 2020.
