Volkswagen AG (Xetra :VW), a Germany-based automaker, has reported an increase in sales for the month of July 2012.
The automaker sold 468,300 units globally last month, up 11.9 percent over the year-ago period. The increase in sales is attributed to the increase in demand in Asia and the United States.
During January to July 2012, the company sold 3.26 million units, an increase of 10.4 percent over the year-ago period.
