Volkswagen AG (Xetra: VW), a Germany-based automaker, is launching its all-electric variant of the Up! hatchback in Germany.
The vehicle is to be priced at less than EUR25,000.
The vehicle is expected to deliver a range of around 130 kilometres from every charge of its lithium ion battery stack. The electric motor delivers around 80bhp of peak power and 210Nm of peak torque and reaches a top speed of 130kph. It accelerates from zero to 60kph in less than five seconds.
