Subaru, a subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries (TYO: 7270), is equipping its new BRZ coupe with a new 2.0-litre, flat-four cylinder engine.
The boxer engine will have a single twin-scroll turbocharger to help decrease lag, and a direct fuel injection system that delivers 280bhp and 250lb-ft of torque.
The turbocharged BRZ is to be launched in 2013 as a 2014 model.
