Skoda, a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG (Xetra: VW), has revealed details of the third generation Octavia sedan.
The vehicle is to be launched before the end of 2012. It borrows styling cues from the smaller Rapid, and is built on the automaker’s new MQB platform.
The model will be available with a range of Volkswagen-sourced four-cylinder engines, including a 140bhp 1.4-litre TSI and a new 2.0-litre turbodiesel that has an output of 150bhp, coupled with a choice of a manual and an automatic gearbox, and both front- and rear-wheel drive variants.
