Chevrolet, a brand of US car manufacturer, General Motors, has become the first to open its order book for models that feature Apple’s Siri Eyes-Free integration.
Chevrolet’s 2013 Sonic and Spark models are currently available for sale with the Eyes-Free system, which utilises the Chevrolet My-link infotainment system. Siri allows drivers with any I-phone that features ios 6 to use steering wheel mounted controls to use voice commands to make phone calls, listen to and compose text messages, play songs from I Tunes or make additions to their diary.
Chevrolet has narrowly beaten Honda, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen, who are all expected to release Siri-compatible models soon.
