Porsche AG (Xetra: POR3) (FWB: POR3), a Germany-based automaker, is planning a surprise to celebrate the 50th birthday of the 911.
August Achleitner, the director of the 911 line, announced at a media event that the 911 would be the subject of ‘something special’ next year. A 50th anniversary model would not be the only addition to the 911 range, Achleitner stated that the company is planning more versions of the model in order to deal with the changing global market.
He said, ‘Here in my head there are many more variants [of the 911]. We are not running out of ideas. It will not get boring in the next few years.’
