Porsche AG (Xetra: POR3) (FWB: POR3), a Germany-based automaker, is equipping its new 960 supercar with a mid-mounted, quad-turbocharged boxer eight-cylinder engine.
The vehicle is to be equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and an all-wheel-drive system that accelerates from zero to 60mph in 2.5 seconds.
The model is likely to be the first to use the Porsche-developed MSB-M architecture, which will to underpin all of VW Group’s mid- and rear-engined sports cars from the successor to the Lamborghini Aventador to Porsche’s new 911.
