Peugeot, a France-based automaker, is launching its 2013 2008 crossover at the Geneva Motor Show, scheduled for March 2013.
The vehicle is the first off-road model that the automaker has developed without soliciting input from another manufacturer. It is based on the same platform as the recently launched 208 sub-compact, and is likely to measure around 162 inches long and 68 inches wide. The model is equipped with a turbocharged 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine that delivers 110bhp. It will also be offered with a range of petrol and diesel powered four-cylinder engines.
The model has been designed with global markets in mind and will be produced in China and several Latin American countries after debuting across Europe.
