PSA Peugeot Citroen, a France-based automaker, may be selling a majority share in its Gefco trucking unit to OAO Russian Railways, according to a union official.

The state-owned company has currently made the highest offer, and is considered in the best position to take over the stake, although it still needs government approval.

According to some sources, OAO Russian Railways has agreed to pay around €1bn for 75 percent of Gefco.
