Mercedes-Benz, a subsidiary of Daimler AG (NYSE: DAI) (FWB: DAI), has launched its E300 Bluetec Hybrid vehicle in the United Kingdom.
The vehicle has an average economy of 67.3mpg and emits 109g/km of CO2 in saloon form, while the estate variant produces 64.2mpg and 116g/km. It is equipped with a 201bhp, 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, coupled with a 27bhp electric motor. The automaker stated that the vehicle could be driven solely on electric power for up to one kilometre, at up to 21mph.
The company will start delivery of the vehicle in November 2012, priced from £39,645 for the saloon and £41,435 for the estate version.
