McLaren, a United Kingdom-based automaker, has revealed details of the production P1 supercar.
The vehicle is to be equipped with a version of the MP4-12C’s twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 engine, coupled with a Kinetic Energy Recovery System that delivers a total power of around 800bhp.It has a carbon fibre construction and hydraulic anti-roll control, adaptive dampers and a pushrod suspension like that of the Lamborghini Aventador.
The production version of the vehicle is to be launched at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and is to arrive at United States dealerships at the end of the summer. The automaker is producing 500 units of the vehicle, which are likely to cost around $1.1m.
