Hyundai reveals details of upcoming three-door i30

Hyundai Motor Company (KSE: 005380), a South Korea-based automaker, is has released details of its three-door i30 ahead of its launch at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

The vehicle features sharply raked beltline, a more angular glasshouse silhouette, large front doors along with front and rear styling changes, a new front bumper with a more prominent grille with sportier fog lamps and day time running LEDs, and a rear bumper with new vertical rear fog lamps. There will be a black strip at the bottom of the bumper and new 16-inch alloy wheels.

The vehicle will be available with a choice of four engine options, with 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre options for both petrol and diesel engines.

Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor Europe, said, ‘The new generation i30 three-door has been conceived solely for Europe, and will strengthen Hyundai’s presence further in the segment where we have seen our greatest success since 2007. Just as important, its sporty looks – offering a fresh interpretation of fluidic sculpture – will generate greater brand awareness and enhance consumer perceptions of Hyundai in Europe.’
