Hyundai Motor Company (KSE: 005380), a South Korea-based automaker, has announced that its Brazilian division has revealed details of the new five-door hatchback, named the HB20.
The HB20 stands for Hyundai do Brazil, which indicates that the vehicle is being produced for the Brazilian market, and 20 refers to the car’s size. It is based on the European-spec i20. It is to arrive at United States dealerships in October 2013.
The vehicle features a Brazil-specific body that stays in line with Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design. It measures around 157 inches long, 67 inches wide and 58 inches high and will be available with a choice of a 1.0-litre engine that delivers 85bhp, and a 1.6-litre engine that produces 130bhp.
