Honda Motor Company launches new racing engine HR412E

Honda Motor Company (NYSE: HMC) (TYO: 7267), a Japan-based automaker, has launched its new racing engine HR412E.

The engine is to be equipped in the Civic WTCC racing car in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. It is developed at the automaker’s R&D centre in Tochigi.

The unit is a completely bespoke 1.6-litre, four-cylinder direct injection turbo-charged petrol engine.
