General Motors suspends production at Fairfax plant

General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM), a United States-based automaker, is suspending production at its Fairfax, Kansas, production facility.

The automaker is taking this step in order to stem its growing vehicle inventory.

Automotive News has reported, citing UAW Local 31, which represents the plant’s 3,561 hourly workers, that the automaker has suspended production at the Fairfax plant for this week and next.
