General Electric withdraws plans to purchase 25,000 electric vehicles by 2015

United States-based General Electric (NYSE: GM) is withdrawing its plan to purchase 25,000 electric vehicles by 2015.

The company had made the announcement of purchase in 2010, with its aim of operating the world’s largest fleet of pure electric vehicles.

The firm abandoned its decision from choice, or rather the lack of choice, as it has found that there is not an electric vehicle available to fit every need.
