Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F), a United States-based automaker, is planning to launch its production Fiesta ST in the United States, according to Ford’s marketing manager, Steve Ling.
Ling stated that the model would be offered with the ST treatment, and will be available as a five-door hatchback only. It is to be equipped with a 1.6-litre EcoBoost inline-four cylinder engine that produces 178bhp and 177lb-ft of torque, coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.
A concept version of the car was revealed at the 2012 Los Angeles auto show.
