Daimler AG (NYSE: DAI) (FWB: DAI), a Germany-based automaker, is launching its new Smart Fortwo model in the United Kingdom in 2014.
Dr. Dieter Zetsche, chairman of Daimler AG and head of Mercedes-Benz, stated that the new model would retain its rear engine.
The new models will be offered with both electric and standard combustion engines, with the ‘possibility’ of a new, small-capacity turbocharged motor in the future.
