Citroen, a France-based automaker, has revealed details of the 2013 Berlingo Electrique, its first mass-produced all-electric van.
The vehicle is equipped with an electric motor jointly developed by PSA Peugeot-Citroen and Mitsubishi. It delivers 67bhp and 147lb-ft. of torque to the front wheels, coupled with a single-gear reduction gearbox. It accelerates from zero to 62mph in 19 seconds and reaches a top speed of 68mph, covering a driving range of up to 105 miles.
The model is to arrive at European dealerships as a regular-production model in the second half of 2013. The automaker will reveal the pricing details closer to its launch.
