Chrysler, a United States-based automaker, has confirmed that its 2013 SRT Viper will not be sold in Europe, according to an unnamed spokesman.
The automaker is not launching the vehicle in Europe because it aims to focus its resources on launching the vehicle in the United States. It also stated that the automaker’s dealer network in Europe is very small, so the car would likely have to be sold next to Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo products in certain countries.
The spokesman has not revealed if export plans for the vehicle have been completely cancelled or if it will be reconsidered in a couple of years.
