Bugatti, a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG (Xetra: VW), is developing a production version of the 16C Galibier super sedan, according to CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer.
The model is to be equipped with a W16 engine with a displacement of 8.0 litres that delivers around 1,400bhp. It is largely constructed of carbon fibre but some body panels, such as the doors and bumpers, will be made of aluminium. The cabin will be trimmed with the highest quality wood and leather and have an ultramodern LCD centre console.
The model is expected to cost more than the $1.7m Veyron.
