BMW AG (Xetra: BMW), a Germany-based automaker, has recalled 2,195 cars in South Korea, according to the country’s transportation ministry.
The recalled models include 1,579 X5 SUVs manufactured between December 11, 2006 and February 19, 2010, along with 616 units of X6 SUVs produced from April 3, 2008 through February 22, 2010.
The automaker is recalling the vehicles because of defective power steering, caused by faulty captive bolts within a fan-belt pulley.
