Germany-based BMW AG’s (Xetra; BMW) bike-building division is planning to launch a retro-inspired model in 2013, according to a spokesman.
The model is being launched to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the company’s iconic flat-twin engine. It features a single round headlight, a chiselled gas tank and a short tail.
The automaker has not revealed the name of the vehicle. The model is being launched to pay homage to the 1923 R 32, BMW’s first-ever two-wheeler and the model that inaugurated the company’s famed air-cooled, four-stroke, two-cylinder engine.
