Mercedes-Benz, a subsidiary of Daimler AG (NYSE: DAI) (FWB: DAI), is decreasing production of the S-Class sedan.
The automaker is taking this step because of decreasing demand for the vehicle in Europe.
Production at the Sindelfingen, Germany plant will be decreased from two shifts to one until the new S-Class arrives next summer. Reuters has reported that this step will decrease S-Class production to 8,000 units for the fourth quarter of 2012.
