Honda Motor Company (NYSE: HMC) (TYO: 7267), a Japan-based automaker, is recalling around 820,000 Civic compact cars and Pilot crossovers in the United States.
The recalled models include Civic models produced from 2002 to 2003, and Pilots manufactured from 2004 to 2005.
The automaker is recalling the vehicles because wires connecting a switch that controls the headlights and turn signals are at risk of overheating and melting, rendering the low-beam headlights inoperative.
