General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM), a United States-based automaker, is recalling 475,000 units of its Chevrolet, Pontiac and Saturn midsize models.

The recalled models are from the 2007 to 2012 model years and are Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura sedans equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission.

The automaker is recalling the vehicles to rectify problematic gear levers that could cause vehicles to roll forward or backward when drivers think they are in park.
