Mitsubishi Motor Corporation (TYO: 7211), a Japan-based automaker, has not yet taken a decision on launching its new Mirage subcompact in the United States.
United States dealerships are likely to be enthusiastic about launching an additional model, but the automaker thinks that the vehicle is likely to be too small for US customers. Another concern for the company is that the Thai-made Mirage’s demand is likely to fluctuate depending on the petrol price.
Mitsubishi president, Osamu Masuko, said, ‘We have to make a decision soon, but we are still studying.’
