Hyundai Motor Company (KSE: 005380), a South Korea-based automaker, is planning to withdraw standard V8 options for the 2013 model year.
The automaker is withdrawing the Genesis’ 4.6-litre V8 and the standard model’s 5.0-litre V8 option for the 2013 model year, leaving the 5.0 R-Spec model as the range’s lone V8 offering. It is withdrawing the Genesis 4.6 and Genesis 5.0 models for the 2013 model year. Both engines are coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
There are no other changes for the 2013 model year.
