Volkswagen Golf receives 2013 European Car of the Year award

The Volkswagen Golf has received the 2013 European Car of the Year award.

The vehicle received 414 votes, more than double those of the second-placed Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ, which received 202 votes.

The model is to be unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
