Lamborghini, a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG (Xetra: VW), is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a model called Veneno.
The vehicle is being launched at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. It is a rolling advertisement of Lamborghini’s expertise in the fields of aerodynamic engineering and composite materials. The automaker is planning to produce three units of the Veneno, priced from EUR3m.
The vehicle features a chassis and body made out of carbon fibre, aluminium front and rear sub-frames, and central-locking alloy wheels with a turbine-like carbon fibre ring. It is equipped with a mid-mounted Aventador-sourced 6.5-litre V12 engine that delivers 755bhp, coupled with seven-speed ISR manual transmission.
