Lada, a Russia-based automaker, has revealed details of the performance-oriented, Granta Sport, a budget-minded sport sedan.
The vehicle was first revealed at the 2012 Moscow Motor Show last September.
The model is to be equipped with a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder engine that delivers 120bhp and 118lb-ft of torque, coupled with a five-speed close-ratio manual transmission. It accelerates from zero to 62mph in 9.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 122mph. It features upgraded brakes on all wheels, a lowered and stiffened suspension, re-calibrated power steering and a full body kit that consists of side skirts, a boot-mounted spoiler and aggressive bumpers at both ends.
