NEVS, a Swedish and Chinese consortium that acquired Saab, is planning to launch a convertible version of the 9-3-based electric vehicle.

The Dutch version of Autoweek has reported, citing a NEVS spokesperson, that the company is also likely to produce a wagon version of the electric car.

The automaker is also likely to launch a more conventional, petrol-engine 9-3 due to popular demand.
